Alexander Supertramp

To Do:

-Text Leah. Make her come to your room so you can cry into her lap for half an hour.

-Watch Into The Wild. Become too attached to Chris McCandless. Watch him die. Cry.

-Put on every coat you own. Put your blanket over your shoulders and walk to Sam and Olivia's room. Lay on Sam's bed, shiver, eat kit-kats, and cry.

-Use all of your roommate's tissues blowing your nose.

-Curl up on Emma's chair, and then her bed, and then her floor. Cry so hard you can't breathe.

-Apologize.

-Throw your phone and scream into your pillow.

-Have an allergic reaction to something-I-don't-know. Take benadryl. Keep editing your essay until you can't hold your eyes open anymore. Cry because it's not good enough and neither are you.

-Make people worry about you.

-Cry because you don't want to worry people.

-Think about going to get food. Cry.

-Scavenge instead for something to eat in your cabinet. Cry because you don't want Oreos.

-Don't call your mom.

-Don't talk to anyone about anything.

-Think there's something wrong with you.

-Make a new post on your blog. Don't cry when you're writing it because you don't want your roommate asking if you're okay or if you want to talk about it.

-When you fail at not crying, shield your face with your blanket.

-Wonder what the fuck you're doing.

What the fuck am I doing?

Happiness-- only real when shared.
Chris McCandless

Two years he walks the earth. No phone, no pool, no pets, no cigarettes. Ultimate freedom. An extremist. An aesthetic voyager whose home is the road. Escaped from Atlanta. Thou shalt not return, 'cause "the West is the best." And now after two rambling years comes the final and greatest adventure. The climactic battle to kill the false being within and victoriously conclude the spiritual pilgrimage. Ten days and nights of freight trains and hitchhiking bring him to the Great White North. No longer to be poisoned by civilization he flees, and walks alone upon the land to become lost in the wild.
Alexander Supertramp, May 1992
